29 March 2005 S/RES/1591 This resolution created a committee and panel of experts and additional individually targeting measures.
24 March 2005 S/RES/1590 This resolution established UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS). This was the first resolution to affirm zero tolerance of sexual exploitation in all UN peacekeeping missions.
19 November 2004 S/RES/1574 This resolution was adopted in Nairobi and expressed support for the Sudanese peace processes.
18 September 2004 S/RES/1564 This resolution established the International Commission of Inquiry.
30 July 2004 S/RES/1556 This resolution endorsed plans for AU protection force for Darfur and expressed full support for the AU-led ceasefire commission and monitoring mission in Darfur, requested the Secretary-General to assist the AU with planning and assessments for its mission in Darfur and requested monthly reports from the Secretary-General. The resolution also imposed an arms embargo on non-state actors in Darfur.
11 June 2004 S/RES/1547 This resolution welcomed the Secretary-General's report of 7 June and requested an update no later than three months.
16 August 1996 S/RES/1070 This resolution strengthened sanctions in connection with Sudan.
26 April 1996 S/RES/1054 This resolution imposed sanctions in connection with Sudan.
6 February 1956 S/RES/112 This resolution recommended Sudan for UN membership.
