8 December 2017 S/RES/2389 This resolution was on the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the DRC and the region.
28 March 2013 S/RES/2098 This resolution renewed MONUSCO’s mandate—including an intervention brigade to neutralise rebel groups in eastern DRC—until 31 March 2014.
13 March 2008 S/RES/1804 This resolution demanded that all members of Rwandan armed groups operating in eastern DRC lay down their arms, called upon the DRC and Rwanda to implement commitments under the Nairobi communiqué, and asked states to cooperate with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
27 January 2006 S/RES/1653 This resolution addressed conflict prevention and peaceful resolution of disputes in the Great Lakes region, requested the civilian protection in the Great Lakes report, welcomed the establishment of the PBC and underlined its potential importance for the Council's work in the region.

14 September 2005 S/RES/1625 This was a declaration on the effectiveness of the Security Council's role in conflict prevention, reaffirming the need to adopt a broad strategy to conflict prevention, which addresses the root causes of armed conflict in a comprehensive manner, including by promoting sustainable development.
28 July 2003 S/RES/1493 This resolution imposed an arms embargo.
