14 March 2024 S/RES/2726 This resolution renewed the mandate of UNMISS until 30 April 2024.
8 March 2024 S/RES/2724 This resolution called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and for all warring parties to seek a sustainable resolution to the conflict through dialogue. It was adopted with 14 votes in favour and one abstention (Russia).
8 March 2024 S/RES/2725 The resolution extended the mandate of the Panel of Experts assisting the 1591 Sudan Sanctions Committee until 12 March 2025.
30 January 2024 S/RES/2723 This extended the mandate of UNFICYP until 31 January 2025.
10 January 2024 S/RES/2722 This resolution demanded that the Houthis immediately cease all attacks on merchant and commercial vessels and took note of the right of member states, in accordance with international law, to defend their vessels from attacks, including those that undermine navigational rights and freedoms.
29 December 2023 S/RES/2721 This resolution, among other matters, requested the Secretary-General to appoint a Special Envoy on Afghanistan in consultation with a range of stakeholders, welcomed the Secretary-General's intention to convene the next meeting of the group of Special Envoys and Special Representatives on Afghanistan, and encouraged the meeting to discuss the recommendations of the independent assessment on Afghanistan.
22 December 2023 S/RES/2720 This resolution requested the Secretary-General to appoint a Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator tasked with establishing a UN mechanism for accelerating humanitarian consignments to Gaza. It was adopted with 13 votes in favour and two abstentions (Russia and the US).
