30 March 2004 S/RES/1537 This resolution authorised UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL)'s drawdown.
19 September 2003 S/RES/1508 This resolution extended the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) for a period of six months from 30 September 2003.
18 July 2003 S/RES/1492 This resolution authorised UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL)'s drawdown.
24 September 2002 S/RES/1436 This resolution authorised UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL)'s drawdown. It included a reference to the need for the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation as part of the mandate renewal for peacekeeping in Sierra Leone.
28 March 2002 S/RES/1400 This resolution renewed the mandate in Sierra Leone for a period of six months from 30 March 2002, expressing concern about allegations of sexual abuse.
18 September 2001 S/RES/1370 The Council expressed its continued deep concern at the reports of human rights abuses and attacks committed by the RUF, the Civil Defence Forces (CDF) and other armed groups and individuals, against the civilian population, in particular the widespread violation of the human rights of women and children, including sexual violence.
14 August 2000 S/RES/1315 This resolution requested the Secretary-General to negotiate an agreement to create the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
5 July 2000 S/RES/1306 This resolution decided that all States should take the necessary measures to prohibit the direct or indirect import of all rough diamonds from Sierra Leone to their territory. It also requested a panel of experts for an initial period of four months.
7 February 2000 S/RES/1289 This resolution welcomed the intention of the Secretary-General to establish within UNAMSIL a landmine action office responsible for awareness training of UNAMSIL personnel and for the coordination of mine action activities of NGOs and humanitarian agencies operating in Sierra Leone.
22 October 1999 S/RES/1270 This resolution established the UN Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL).
5 June 1998 S/RES/1171 This resolution was on Sierra Leone and decided to terminate the remaining prohibitions imposed by paragraphs 5 and 6 of resolution 1132 (1997).
16 March 1998 S/RES/1156 This resolution decided to terminate the prohibitions on the sale or supply to Sierra Leone of petroleum and petroleum products referred to in paragraph 6 of resolution 1132 (1997).
