3 April 1991 S/RES/687 This resolution contained the terms for Iraq of a ceasefire in the context of its invasion of Kuwait, foresaw the establishment of UNIKOM and imposed sanctions. It called for the elimination, under international supervision, of Iraq's WMD and ballistic missiles with a range greater than 150 kilometres, together with related items and production facilities, and called for measures to ensure that the acquisition and production of prohibited items were not resumed.

24 February 1986 S/RES/582 This resolution reiterated calls for a cessation of hostilities in the Iran-Iraq War. It deplored the use of chemical weapons, condemned vigorously their continued use in the conflict, expected both sides to refrain from their use, and called upon all states to adopt strict controls over transferring chemical products to any country believed to have used chemical weapons.
19 June 1981 S/RES/487 This resolution strongly condemned Israel’s military attack, considered that the attack constitute a serious threat to the entire safeguards regime of the IAEA and called upon Israel to place its nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards.
4 November 1977 S/RES/418 This resolution imposed a mandatory ban on all states from engaging in "any cooperation with South Africa in the manufacture and development of nuclear weapons".
