In December the Council will hear the delayed briefing from the High Representative for the Implementation of the Peace Agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Lajcak of Slovakia.

The Council is expected to reauthorise the EU Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR) before the end of its mandate on 21 November. It will also be briefed by the High Representative and European Union Special Representative to the Secretary General for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Lajčák, on developments since his last report in May 2008 (S/2008/300).

In mid-May, the Council is expected to be briefed by the High Representative for the Implementation of the Peace Agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Lajcak of Slovakia. His latest report is expected in early May. These regular reports are in accordance with annex 10 of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement and the conclusions of the London Peace Implementation Conference of 1995.

Reauthorisation of the European Union Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR) is expected before 01 December, when its mandate expires. The Council is also likely to encourage ongoing efforts for police reform. It may also address the need to arrest those indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) who still remain at large.
