25 March 2024 S/RES/2728 This resolution demanded an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire. It also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. It was adopted with 14 votes in favour and one abstention (US).
22 December 2023 S/RES/2720 This resolution requested the Secretary-General to appoint a Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator tasked with establishing a UN mechanism for accelerating humanitarian consignments to Gaza. It was adopted with 13 votes in favour and two abstentions (Russia and the US).
15 November 2023 S/RES/2712 This was a resolution calling for "urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors throughout the Gaza Strip for a sufficient number of days" to enable unhindered humanitarian access. It was adopted with 12 votes in favour and three abstentions (Russia, the UK, and the US).
23 December 2016 S/RES/2334 This resolution condemned Israeli settlements and called for immediate steps to prevent violence against civilians, including acts of terror. It was adopted with 14 votes in favour and a US abstention.
8 January 2009 S/RES/1860 This resolution called for an immediate, durable and fully respected ceasefire leading to the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
16 December 2008 S/RES/1850 This resolution declared Council support for the Annapolis peace process and its commitment to the irreversibility of bilateral negotiations.
14 September 2005 S/RES/1624 This resolution called on states to take further measures to combat terrorism.
19 May 2004 S/RES/1544 This resolution called on Israel not to demolish homes in the Rafah refugee camp and expressed grave concern over the humanitarian situation in the Rafah area.
19 November 2003 S/RES/1515 This resolution stated the necessity for a two state solution and unanimously endorsed the Quartet’s Road Map.
13 December 2002 S/RES/1450 This resolution condemned the 28 November terrorist attacks in Kenya.

30 March 2002 S/RES/1402 This resolution expressed concern at the worsening conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.
12 March 2002 S/RES/1397 This resolution demanded an immediate end to all acts of violence and called on both sides to resume negotiations.
