27 February 2019 S/RES/2457 This was a resolution adopted during a meeting on "Cooperation between the UN and regional and subregional organizations in maintaining international peace and security".
18 November 2016 S/RES/2320 This was a resolution which welcomed the AU Assembly decision to fund 25 percent of AU peace support operations, to be phased incrementally over five years. Senegal circulated a concept note ahead of the meeting.
22 December 2014 S/RES/2195 This was a resolution that addressed the role of transnational organised crime in supporting terrorism.
18 September 2014 S/RES/2177 In this resolution, the Council determined that the unprecedented extent of the ebola outbreak in Africa constituted a threat to international peace and security.
28 July 2014 S/RES/2167 This resolution was on regional partnerships and peacekeeping.
12 January 2012 S/RES/2033 This resolution called for elaboration of “further ways of strengthening relations between the two Councils” and asked the Secretary-General in consultation with the AU to conduct a comprehensive analysis of lessons learned from practical cooperation between the UN and the AU.
16 April 2008 S/RES/1809 This resolution encouraged increased engagement between the AU and the UN and called on the UN Secretariat to develop a list of needed capacities and recommendations on ways that the AU could further develop its military, technical, logistic and administrative capabilities.
31 July 2007 S/RES/1769 This resolution created an African Union/UN hybrid peacekeeping mission in Darfur (UNAMID).
31 August 2006 S/RES/1706 This resolution set a mandate for UN Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) in Darfur; mandated a multidimensional UN presence in Chad and the Central African Republic; and requested recommendations.
8 August 2006 S/RES/1699 This was on the cooperation between Interpol and the 1267 committee.
24 March 2006 S/RES/1663 This resolution urged UNMIS to make use of its mandate and capabilities against the Ugandan rebel group LRA, specifying that the 1653 report should include recommendations on dealing with the LRA and be issued by 24 April.
17 October 2005 S/RES/1631 This resolution addressed the issue of cooperation between the UN and regional organisations and stressed the role of regional organisations in addressing the issue of small arms.
14 September 2005 S/RES/1625 This was a declaration on the effectiveness of the Security Council's role in conflict prevention, reaffirming the need to adopt a broad strategy to conflict prevention, which addresses the root causes of armed conflict in a comprehensive manner, including by promoting sustainable development.
1 August 2003 S/RES/1497 This resolution authorised the deployment of a Multinational Force.
4 February 2003 S/RES/1464 This resolution authorized Member States participating in the ECOWAS forces together with the French forces supporting them to take the necessary steps to guarantee the security and freedom of movement of their personnel and to ensure the protection of civilians within their zones of operation.
