10 November 1951 S/RES/96 This resolution concerned the report of the UN Representative on India and Pakistan and on efforts to establish a plan for the demilitarisation. Both India and Pakistan were recognised for their declaration of working for a peaceful settlement, continuation to observe a cease-fire, and their acceptance of the principle that the accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir should be determined by a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices.
1 September 1951 S/RES/95 This resolution called upon Egypt to stop restricting the passage of international commercial shipping and goods through the Suez Canal.
30 March 1951 S/RES/91 This resolution decided that UNMOGIP would continue to supervise the ceasefire in Kashmir with a mandate to observe and report, investigate complaints of ceasefire violations and submit its finding to each party and to the Secretary-General.
26 September 1950 S/RES/86 This resolution recommended Indonesia for UN membership.
27 June 1950 S/RES/83 This resolution authorised the use of force in the context of the Korean War.
25 June 1950 S/RES/82 This resolution determined the existence of a breach of the peace related to an armed attack by forces from North Korea into the Republic of Korea.
14 March 1950 S/RES/80 This resolution called on both India and Pakistan to execute a programme of demilitarisation and terminated UNCIP.
16 September 1949 S/RES/74 This resolution requested further discussions within the Atomic Energy Commission.
4 March 1949 S/RES/69 This was the recommendation to the Assembly that Israel be admitted as a member of the UN.
16 November 1948 S/RES/62 This resolution called for an armistice between Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
4 November 1948 S/RES/61 This resolution established a committee to advise on taking Chapter VII action if the parties failed to comply with troop withdrawals and truce lines.
18 September 1948 S/RES/57 This resolution condemned the murder of the UN Mediator in Palestine, Count Folke Bernadotte.
15 July 1948 S/RES/54 This resolution determined that the situation in Palestine was a threat to international peace and security and ordered a cessation of hostilities.
22 June 1948 S/RES/52 This resolution requested further discussions within the Atomic Energy Commission.
3 June 1948 S/RES/51 This resolution directed the Commission to proceed to the areas of dispute without delay “with a view to accomplishing in priority the duties assigned to it by resolution 47”.
