6 April 2004 S/PRST/2004/9 This presidential statement welcomed the results of the Berlin Conference and endorsed the Berlin Declaration. The Council also acknowledged the commitment by NATO to expand ISAF.
18 June 2003 S/PRST/2003/7 This presidential statement expressed concern at the security situation in Afghanistan, and welcomed the establishment of international civilian-military provincial reconstruction teams.
11 September 2002 S/PRST/2002/25 This presidential statement was adopted in remembrance of the events of 11 September 2001, the Council reaffirmed its resolve to tackle terrorism.
7 April 2000 S/PRST/2000/12 The Council condemned the Taliban for launching new offensive in March, and for forced entry into the UN compound in Kandahar resulting in the withdrawal of the UN presence in southern Afghanistan. It further condemned the use of Afghan territory to shelter terrorists.
