15 June 2016 S/PRST/2016/9 This was a presidential statement on the role of women in conflict prevention and resolution in Africa.
16 December 2015 S/PRST/2015/25 This was a presidential statement on trafficking in persons in situations of conflict, with a particular focus on ISIS and the impact on women and children.
28 October 2014 S/PRST/2014/21 This was a presidential statement that addressed the particular needs of displaced women, highlighted the impact of violent extremism on women and welcomed the Secretary-General's commissioning of a global study.
31 October 2012 S/PRST/2012/23 The Council highlighted the impact of women’s civil society organisations, recognised the need in the Council’s own work for more systemic attention to the women, peace and security agenda and welcomed the Secretary-General’s call for enhanced women’s participation, at all levels, in conflict prevention, conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
23 February 2012 S/PRST/2012/3 This presidential statement commended the work of the Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict and stressed the need for continued data collection under the monitoring, analysis and reporting arrangements on sexual violence.
28 October 2011 S/PRST/2011/20 The Council adopted this presidential statement which underlined the importance of the participation of women in conflict prevention and resolution efforts.
22 November 2010 S/PRST/2010/25 This was on protection of civilians, containing an updated aide-mémoire.
26 October 2010 S/PRST/2010/22 This statement supported taking forward the indicators contained in the annex of S/2010/498 as an initial framework for the UN system and member states to track implementation of resolution 1325; requested the Secretary-General to propose a strategic framework to guide the UN’s implementation of resolution 1325 over the next decade; and expressed its intention to convene a high-level review in five years.
13 October 2010 S/PRST/2010/20 This presidential statement was on post-conflict peacebuilding, wherein the Council welcomed the important role of the PBC in promoting and supporting an integrated and coherent approach to peacebuilding, including women's participation.
17 September 2010 S/PRST/2010/17 This presidential statement urged the DRC government to prosecute the perpetrators of the mass rapes that occurred in eastern DRC in late July and August.
27 May 2010 S/PRST/2010/8 This statement welcomed the appointment of Margot Wallstrom as Special Representative for Sexual Violence and asked the Secretary-General to continue working on indicators to measure progress on resolution 1325.
21 April 2009 S/PRST/2009/8 This statement acknowledged the role of mediation in peace processes, requested the Secretary-General to "keep it informed of the action taken by him in promoting and supporting mediation and pacific settlement of disputes ..." and stressed the need for more women participation in mediators’ teams.
