30 March 2020 S/2020/252 This was a letter to the president of the Security Council from the Accountability, Coherence and Transparency group of 25 member states raised concerns about the Council’s ability to discharge its mandate. It also warned that unless the Council was able to continue to adapt its working methods to the unprecedented circumstances, “the present way of operating also risks undermining progress made over the years in strengthening the transparency, inclusion and accountability of the Council towards the wider UN membership”.
27 March 2020 S/2020/253 This was a letter from the president of the Security Council to permanent representatives of Council members describing temporary measures to be applied during the COVID-19 period, in particular the written voting procedure.
11 February 2020 S/2020/116 This was the report of the 17th annual workshop for the newly elected members of the Security Council, which was held on 7 and 8 November 2019.
19 July 2019 S/2019/582 This letter called on the Council “to expedite the adoption of the 2018 annual report” and “to submit the report to the Assembly in all working languages at least two weeks before the presentation, to facilitate the report’s substantive discussion”.
