31 July 2024 S/2024/584 This was a letter from Iran accusing Israel of the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on 31 July. The letter invokes Article 51 of the UN Charter saying that Iran will not hesitate to "respond decisively and promptly".
5 January 2024 S/2024/26 This was a letter from the Secretary-General to the Security Council providing a report on the implementation of resolution 2712 of 15 November 2023, which called for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors” throughout Gaza to facilitate the provision of essential goods and services as well as for the unconditional release of all hostages held in Gaza.
6 December 2023 S/2023/962 This was a letter from the Secretary-General invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter. After over eight weeks of hostilities in Gaza and Israel, the letter urges the Security Council to press to avert a humanitarian catastrophe and reiterates the Secretary-General's appeal for a humanitarian ceasefire.

28 January 2021 S/2021/91 This was a record of the quarterly debate on “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question”.
28 August 2020 S/2020/837 During the meeting, Russia raised the question to the Council’s president (Indonesia) on how the presidency will proceed with the US decision to trigger a snapback provision under resolution 2231. Ambassador Djani (Indonesia) responded that given the lack of consensus among Council members the presidency could not take further action on this issue.
20 May 2020 S/2020/430 This was a record of the open VTC on “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question” on 20 May.
5 May 2020 S/2020/341 This was a letter transmitting the briefing of Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov during an open VTC on 23 April.
21 December 2018 S/2018/1150 This was a letter from 13 members of the Council, including outgoing and incoming elected members, reiterating the request that the Secretary-General’s quarterly report on Israel/Palestine be provided in written form, rather than orally.
12 November 2018 S/2018/1012 This letter was from the Permanent Representative of Israel to the Security Council about a recent series of attacks by Hamas.
26 October 2018 S/2018/957 This was a letter to the Council from western European members, protesting the Israeli ambassador's insults thrown in Hebrew at an Israeli human rights activist speaker during the 18 October open debate on the Middle East.
4 June 2018 S/2018/524 This was the transmission of Russia’s concept note for its debate on the Middle East and North Africa held 25 June 2018.
14 May 2018 S/2018/454 This was a letter from 10 members of the Council requesting the Secretary-General's quarterly report on Israel/Palestine to be provided in written form, rather than orally.
10 April 2017 S/2017/305 This was the concept note for the Council's quarterly open debate on the Middle East, including the Palestinian question, on 20 April 2017.
