In June, the Security Council will convene for its quarterly open briefing, followed by closed consultations, on Afghanistan. Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Roza Otunbayeva and a senior official from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) are expected to brief. The delivery of humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan will be one aspect of the briefing in accordance with resolution 2615.
