August 2008
On 4 August, the Council adopted resolution 1829, authorising the creation of a follow on peacebuilding office in Sierra Leone, the UN Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Sierra Leone (UNIPSIL), to replace UNIOSIL for a period of one year commencing on 1 October.
