  • S/RES/1547 (11 June 2004) welcomed the Secretary-General's report of 7 June and requested an update no later than three months.
  • S/RES/1070 (16 August 1996) placed further sanctions on Sudan.

  • S/PRST/2011/14 (13 July 2011) was related to the recommendation that South Sudan be admitted as a member of the UN.
  • S/PRST/2011/12 (3 June 2011) was in response to the Sudanese military takeover of Abyei.
  • S/PRST/2011/8 (21 April 2011) was on the situation in southern Sudan, implementation of the CPA and the situation in Darfur, including the enabling environment for the Darfur-based political process.
  • S/PRST/2011/3 (9 February 2011) was the statement issued by the Council on the occasion of the announcement of the formal results of the Southern Sudan referendum.
  • S/PRST/2010/28 (16 December 2010) reaffirmed Council support to the efforts of both parties to the full and timely implementation of the CPA ahead of the Southern Sudan referendum scheduled for 9 January.
  • S/PRST/2010/24 (16 November 2010) was issued at the high-level debate on Sudan, in which the Council expressed its readiness to act as necessary in support of full implementation of the CPA by the parties.
